P-Tech Job Shadow

ATPI recently held a job shadowing event for Syracuse P-Tech students.  P-Tech is a specialized high school partnered with Onondaga Community College for students interested in Engineering or Machining.  The students met with different ATPI staff members to see how we program our machines, machine our parts, and inspect our parts. They had some hands on measuring as well.  We hope this new P-Tech program will inspire the students to pursue a career in manufacturing.

Trade Show - Secaucus, NJ - April 13 - 14

We are excited about our new display that features our industries we serve and many of the parts we have made for them.  Stop in and see us at booth #531. We brought many of our best parts to show off the advanced manufacturing and quality work we do.

SUNY Advanced Manufacturing Job Fair

We participated in the SUNY Advanced Manufacturing Job Fair on Feb 5, 2016. Nick & Jamie did a great job showing off our parts and talking to folks. It was nice to see some of our partners there as well, like Anoplate, and Eaton Crouse-HInds. The education/training in the Syracuse area is getting a resurgence of talent with the help of programs like Cayuga Community Colleges, Mechanical Technology program. Central NY is responding to the needs in our area for advanced manufacturing. The PTECH high school/OCC program is another example that is proving to benefit our region.

19TH North Country Cup Challenge

The Small Business Association/North Country PTAC invited Allen Tool Phoenix to participate in the 19th North Country Cup Challenge. The Cup is an annual golf tournament between the Greater Watertown Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Drum Garrison. We’re proud to be able to support this event and are pleased to come out of it with the win. Congratulations to our ATPI Team!

P-Tech Project Session in Syracuse

Allen Tool is one of many companies that have signed up as mentors for their P-Tech’s incoming 9th grade class in Syracuse.  This 1st event, held in September, was warmly welcomed by all the students with great questions about what we do and how we got into the manufacturing environment.  Allen Tool looks forward to helping the Syracuse community grow their future talent in the manufacturing world with this new P-Tech program.
